DECEMBER 5 & 6, 2015
A workshop to teach actors who also have an interest in creating, writing their own characters and/or shows!
Official details to come, but here is some info from past workshops:
In her Say It, Shout It, Move It workshop, Judith Thompson encouraged participants to tell true stories and to make others’ true stories their own.
Judith Thompson, renowned Canadian playwright, leads this two day workshop for actors, playwrights and creators in which she guides participants through fast, immediate, uncensored writing.
The material that emerged was raw, surprising, and often brilliant. But where does a playwright go from there? Whether you’re getting back in the room with Judith, or are entering for the first time, this workshop will help take you to the next step! Participants will look at innovation, structure and character paths, combining organic intuition with “hammer and nails” narrative work.
Judith Clare Thompson, OC (born September 20, 1954) is a Canadian playwright who lives in Toronto, Ontario. Canadian newspaper The Globe and Mail once declared that “…in this country, a playwright as good as Judith Thompson is a miracle.” She has twice been awarded the Governor General’s Award for drama, and is the recipient of many other awards including the Order of Canada.
