Do I look like myself, truly, or am I made up to attend a pageant? Do I look like my casting age? Does this photo stand-out? Does it represent me as a professional or an amateur? Do my eyes tell a story?

OLIVIER SURPRENANT ~ Photographer
Olivier has been shooting head shots for over 3 years. Being open, present and revealed is the most important thing for a head shot, aside from good lighting and a photographer who can capture that real moment! Because Olivier is an actor, it is clear to him when a person is present or not. It’s easy to shoot a pretty picture, but it’s a challenge to shoot a true one.
Additionally, Olivier can be found lurking around the ACT Studio shooting and editing audition tapes, auditions, class work, you name it, he’ll shoot it. He has been studying acting at ACT and Lonsdale Smith Studios for almost four years. In that time he has become a full member of ACTRA and worked on several feature films including Penthouse North (Michael Keaton, Michelle Monaghan), House at the End of the Street (Jennifer Lawrence, Elizabeth Shue), The Wife He Met Online (Sydney Penny, Cameron Mathison) and starred in a couple of independent features, Find Me (directed by Brooks Hunter) and Rulers of Darkness (directed by Dale Windle).
Prior to delving into acting studio work to study the art of acting, Olivier directed live television at Rogers TV 23.
Aside from his many talents, Olivier is a sweet and generous soul who makes everyone feel at ease when in front of his camera.

ASHLEY DAWN SZABADI ~ Hair & Make-Up Artist
get your hair and make-up done with a talented stylist who will highlight the best of you.
She will give you two different looks for your head shot photo shoot. Ashley is experienced in makeup for film and television, special effects, editorial, head shots and runway.
Here’s what Ashley says:
For actors headshots what you’re trying to show is their natural beauty. So depending on what the actor is going for, you try to adjust. If they want to do younger roles you keep them looking as young as possible. If they’re 16 and trying to get 20 year old roles you want to make them look more mature.
Basically it’s like staging a home to sell it. You want to give the booking agent a clean slate to work with so they can envision the actor in the specific role.
Ashley Szabadi has worked on numerous film and television projects, including: Tell The World, Clara’s Deadly Secret, Crook, Clown, Girl House, Gutshot, Penthouse North, Michael: Tuesdays & Thursdays and many more!
